About

A white man in his fifties. .

White but not too angry.

Gainfully employed as a union worker at an electric plant.

Not afraid that the world is being taken over by “fillintheblank”

I am a baby-boomer, work in Missouri, and have for over twenty years.

I was trained in my trade in the US Nuclear Navy, where the training is broad, but not deep.

I write for fun, not profit. When I publish it–it belongs then to the universe.

Welcome to the weblog dedicated to turning your life around by changing your habits in the grocery store. The effect we are looking for is to stop eating processed foods, foods high in sugar, or that contain a great deal of man-made ingredients.

This blog used to be a daily chore that I performed to keep me on task, to focus my creative energies in creative directions. No more. Now this blog is a labor of love, lovingly performed for the service of myself and my loyal readers. Join us please on our journey to a future free of diabetes, obesity, heart disease and food allergies. It is possible for you too.

You will find page after page of testimonials, facts, articles and links to information that I glean day after day that strengthen my resolve to improve my health, lower my weight and girth, and increase my knowledge of these highly important topics.

Read and enjoy and please comment, if you have a link, article, or particularly important thought to add to the conversation.

  3. Hi Dan! I have been following your blog for a while, and decided to nominate you for a Liebster Award! This is an award created to recognize and discover new bloggers and welcome them to the blogosphere, and it is meant to be passed on.

You don’t have to accept the nomination, but if you do, please write a post on your blog by following the rules as outlined below:

    • Nominate 3 to 10 blogs and tell them that they have been nominated
    • Each nominee should have under 200 followers (or not have received the award)
    • Thank the person who nominated you, and link back to the nominating blog
    • Answer at least 5 of my 10 questions below and propose 10 new ones (or use some of mine) for your nominees
    • Write a post containing the answers to my questions for you
    • Post the Liebster Award icon to your blog
    • Include these rules in your nomination to other bloggers

And here are my 10 questions for you:

What is your favorite hobby, and why?
What is your favorite ingredient for cooking, and how do you enjoy using it most?
Who is your favorite author, and why?
If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be, and why?
What is your favorite time of day, and why?
What is the name of your all time, favorite, go-to recipe?
What type of music do you enjoy listening to?
What is your favorite season, and why?
What social movement do you enjoy?
What do you hope people will take away from your blog?

    All right! Good day!

    Tom
